Interview with Kostadin Paev, Training and Development Specialist

Today, let’s shine a spotlight on Kostadin Paev, a fantastic colleague and a valued member of our training team who has been instrumental in shaping the success stories of many within our organization. With his eight years of dedicated service, six and a half of which were spent in a training role, Kostadin’s journey is one marked by passion and a commitment to the development of others.

Kostadin’s professional adventure began in 2016, and his desire to step into a training role was evident from the start. After three and a half years of pursuit, he seized the opportunity and has been going strong in training for six and a half years. His laid-back demeanor belies a deep passion for customer experience and the development of individuals, making his role a fulfilling and joyous endeavor.

Beyond the professional realm, Kostadin possesses a great sense of humor, always finding the positive side even in challenging situations.

Curious about how Kostadin found his way into training?

It was a journey inspired by the excellent training he received on his first day. The trainer left an indelible mark, spurring Kostadin to focus on this career path. He actively engaged with training materials, polishing the skills required for a trainer. His passion and determination led him to the training position he had set his sights on.

Working as a trainer, for Kostadin, means a sense of fulfillment and pride in seeing his efforts pay off when trainees graduate.

It's not just a job; it's a source of personal satisfaction and accomplishment.

Kostadin’s approach to training is marked by a desire to encourage trainees to find solutions independently and work collaboratively. He incorporates gamification and team-building activities to make learning enjoyable and memorable. Despite training numerous individuals over the years, Kostadin’s photographic memory ensures he remembers faces if not names. 

For aspiring trainers, Kostadin’s advice is straightforward: follow your dreams, put in the effort, and never stop learning. The journey of a trainer is one of continuous learning and improvement. 

What inspires and drives Kostadin daily?

It’s the people—the diverse stories, backgrounds, and experiences of the individuals he interacts with daily. The personal connections forged through training provide a sense of purpose and motivation. 

Reflecting on memorable experiences, Kostadin recalls a meeting where employees who had trained under him acknowledged their journey and growth within the company. Seeing individuals progress from junior positions to managerial roles is a testament to the impact of effective training. 

In Kostadin’s eyes, the most rewarding aspect of being a trainer is not only witnessing the growth of individuals but also being part of an amazing team that offers unwavering support. 

Lastly, Kostadin dispels a common misconception about training—that it’s limited to delivering presentations. He emphasizes that training is a more profound and engaging process, focused on polishing soft skills and helping individuals find purpose and joy in their work.
