What is Intelligent Document Processing?

Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) is a technology used to automate the extraction, classification, and processing of data from documents. IDP utilizes AI and machine learning to enhance and automate document processing. IDP also leverages Natural Language Processing (NLP) and advanced analytics to facilitate the effective handling of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

Traditionally, document management systems were vulnerable to greater inefficiencies, manual errors, and additional security issues. Machine learning and AI combat these issues through the automation of complex tasks, enhanced accuracy, and real-time processing of documents.
