What is a Center of Excellence (CoE)?

A CoE is a centralized unit of experienced professionals with specialized knowledge and skills who guide the organization in the adoption of best practices in a particular focus area. A CoE can be ongoing or temporary. The overarching goal of a CoE is to eliminate inefficiencies and push the organization to the next level of maturity. Typically, CoEs include representatives from management, a particular line of business, and IT
